While Mr. Polanski indeed may have committed a crime against a young woman, it is a worse crime to keep re-victimizing her. This woman wants to move on with her life, undoubtedly not wanting to drag her family through the mire. What of her children? They are not leading a normal life if they are being constantly reminded their mother was a rape victim. What a claim to fame! The justice system in it’s dogged pursuit has purposely left open a festering wound. Yes, justice should be served but not by these methods.

Let them settle this on their own and lift the ban. Keep this out of the very imperfect legal system. Seems like the courts want to destroy more lives. She has a good life; so does he. Many close to the victim said it was consensual. Perhaps he didn’t know her age. There was no internet then.
Why do they want to destoy families? I see the courts as abusive, no one else. I feel abused having to watch what they’re doing to him and his children. It is abusive not to listen to the woman who is now in her forties with four children who wants them to drop all charges. Go after someone else, like Bin Laden.

I firmly believe that time can heal, and that the great deeds done by this man far outweigvh anything in the past. He is either on to something and his expression is just a little too succinct in its truthful, soulful unveiling of the world, or Roman has annoyed the wrong person, who feels they must make a ‘example’ of him to the rest of the world. Be sure that the world is watching and history blows away any lies, no matter how thick, and your part will be seen, honestly, by a harmonious future race of people. The effect of every movement, casts ripples through-out time.

Some things need to stay out of the courts. The legal system needs to leave these two people alone. It was settled. I believe it was consensual, anyway. She won’t testify. She received money. It was the era of sex, drugs, and rock n’ roll. Forget about it. The courts are corrupt. They could’ve arrested him many times before this. The judge changed his mind. Polanski is 77. What a waste of money. I’m for women’s rights, but this is not about that.

The Swiss didn’t help the Jews during WWII. Feels like left-over Nazis and Puritanical fundamentalists. There’s nothing worse. Quit wasting tax payers’ money. Remember Ken Starr’s porn books?

I agree Roman Polanski is not above the law he raped a child and that is the lowest form of criminal acts in this country and for every celebrity that supports him I will be boycoting their films and i will tell every person I see to do the dame he raped a child and has not served his time he fleed and needs to be punished I don;t care what has happened in his life his victim has to live with this every day A real man would have not raped a child !!

Whether of not Roman’s victim doesn’t want charges placed is beside the point. Rape victims often say that. Roman did a cowardly thing by drugging the girl and raping her. At any age, that is RAPE. He is certainly a talented man and has suffered as well, through the Sharon Tate murder, but that does not excuse RAPE. Roman needs to stop being a COWARD and take responsibility. Go to jail Roman. Do the decent thing and set an example for others in Hollywood to follow? When did RAPE become acceptable?
